The Series will build to a culminating event where students will present a 10-minute "sharing" of highlights from the workshop in-studio for their grown-ups.

A NOTE FROM THE INSTRUCTOR
Thank you for your interest in my Workshop Series! I am so glad you are here. My name is Claire and I am a Pittsburgh-based actor, teaching artist, producer and director, and the Artistic Director of Jumping Jack Theater. My career includes ten years of facilitation experience in the arts with students ranging from early childhood to adults, and has allowed me to work with many amazing organizations both in Pittsburgh and beyond. In the last couple of years, you could find me instructing for the University of Pittsburgh, Assistant Directing A Christmas Story at Pittsburgh Public Theater, acting at The Rose Theater in Omaha, producing Rapunzel at the Byham Theater downtown, creating sensory theatre for folks with developmental disabilities, teaching in Pittsburgh Public Schools, and currently collaborating with Trusty Sidekick Theater in NYC on a show set to tour in 2024. I am grateful to be a working artist and passionate educator.
My goal in offering community workshops is to create space that invites students of all ages and abilities to feel safe learning the technical skills it takes to be an actor such as voice, movement and scene study, while simultaneously sharpening the social emotional learning objectives that make us braver, kinder individuals. Let's play!
Learn more about this brand new studio space in Garfield at www.interpgh.com. Because there will be a culminating presentation, partial attendance of the workshop is available by special request only. Please contact Claire at clairemsabatine@gmail.com with questions and the subject line: LITTLE STARS. Thank you!
